Murphy Trip 2008

Each year,we take a day and we make a "just us" trip to Murphy Lake. Well, today was that day and it was wonderful!! We took the camera and tried to get the kid's pictures for the wall. They did pretty good. They were more interested in playing than posing, but who could blame them, it was a beautiful day, and the trucks and shovels were calling. We did get a few good ones, here they are.

We got quite a few of the twins together. They had so much fun playing in the creek. Isn't great that they always have a friend!

Here is just a few of the pictures that show how we spent the day, when we weren't posing for the camera. Tallon took his BB gun and shot at as many pop cans as dad would put out. The twins loved pushing the dump trucks around and climbing up a hill near camp.

We took the ranger and were able to go for a beautiful ride to the top of Murphy. The colors are just starting to change and the views of the day were just breathtaking! We did go and do a little fishing at the lake and topped it all off with a good old hot dog roast before coming home. We were all exhausted and dirty, but what better way is there to spend a day!!

Happy Anniversary to US!!!

Today Tyler and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary!! We had big plans for dinner and just us... and then the kids woke up sick. Oh well, the life of being a parent. Orrin and Tallon were really under the weather, so Viv and I went and picked apples with grandma. Viv ate more than he helped.

Grandma did get him to work a little.

Hopefully everyone will be feeling better in the morning, and Ty and I will be able to do something then, but if not, oh well.

A Sunday Afternoon

We really enjoy having morning church. We find ourselves, about once a month, spending the afternoon with family. Today we went to grandma and granddad's and enjoyed some quality family time. The fall is so pleasant right now. The warm afternoons just beckon us to be outside. Tallon has found a new talent in riding the scooter.

Orrin loved the fact that he could cruse in his diaper and no one cared.

The twins continue to want whatever the other one has. Good thing for grandmas, who try to please everyone.

Vivin did finally win and enjoyed some alone time on the trike.

We have the rule of no riding on the track on Sundays, but the twins don't care, and they get to do whatever they want!

We love quiet Sunday's when we can make memories like this.

Sunday...

sometimes makes for a long day. The twins wore themselves completely out at church today. We tried to get them to eat something before naps, and this is what we ended up with.

I remember all the stories of little ones falling asleep in their dinner after church, I am just glad I didn't give them mashed potatoes!
