I went in the living room and said a prayer

Tallon was frantically looking for his school book this morning and it was nowhere to be found. We were walking out the door and I asked if he had found it yet. He smiled and said that he had. I asked where and he showed me. He told me that he had looked there 3 times already, so he went into the living room and said a prayer. He looked 2 more places and found it. I love that he thought to pray and that it was answered so quickly.

Speaking of answered prayers, can you believe I am 36 weeks and 3 days!!! At the beginning of this pregnancy we were praying to make it to 30 weeks. As things stayed good worries lessened and 39 weeks was looking like no problem. At 32 weeks things went crazy and the past month has been very emotionally draining wondering when this babe would come and in what condition. Each week our prayers have been answered and we are so blessed. Ty and I went to appointments again on Friday and things are still in a safe zone. We have some other issues showing their ugly head but the baby is doing good and we are almost done!!! I don't hate being pregnant, I love the time that is just me and him, but these last weeks have me spent and I am ready to love on this baby and smell that newborn smell. The ultrasound Friday guesstimated him to be around 6.9lbs!!!! I am honestly freaking out. In 4 weeks he has gained 3.5 lbs, if we make it 3 more weeks I am looking at having a huge baby. My biggest baby so far is Van weighing in at a whooping 6lbs 4oz, the twins together were 8lbs 13oz. The diabetes makes big babies but I also worry that the anti E antibodies are playing a little into his size. This has in no way been my physically hardest pregnancy, the twins hold that rank, but emotional and mentally this one is by far the hardest I have done. Tyler was feeling the babies hiccups the other morning and announced his readiness to love this little one. I think we would all be okay if it happened anytime.

Risks as of now:
Birth defect of my uterus, brings with it a whole lot of problems
Anti E antibodies, blood tests and weekly ultrasounds of the babies brain
Gestational Diabetes, insulin twice a day and blood checks 4 times a day
Low amniotic fluid, twice a week AFI and NST
High blood pressure, modified bed rest and monitoring
2 C-Sections, with my defect really ups the risks

High note: 17 days left!!! But who's counting!?!?

When do the Babies get out of our bellies

Vivin is starting to get really nervous about having his baby. It really is the funniest thing to me. He asks almost daily when the babies are coming and how we are going to have them. The one good thing about having C-Sections is that it is really easy to explain how the baby is born. I was hoping that once I told him they were going to cut the baby out of his belly, he would lay off the whole he is pregnant thing. No luck. He was eating breakfast the other morning and did a little jump in his seat, he got this funny look on his face and started laughing, he rubbed his tummy, looked at me and said, "wow, my baby has sharp feet", seriously I could have died laughing. I was visiting with my doctor about things on Friday and told her this story and she just laughed. She asked what I was going to do when it was time to have the babe and I just shrugged. What do I do!?!? She is amazing and told me that she would do a C-Section on Vivin that morning. She has a toy chain saw, she said we will just use that and then hand him his own baby (doll) and all will be well with my Viv. Is she not the most amazing doctor EVER!!!!

So now a little journaling so I can remember this joyous time of life. The weekly ultrasounds have been going well. They are in the low range on the high risk graph. The numbers move a bit each week but nothing to alarming. The doctors are so pleased and relieved that I am as far along as I am. Things are looking as if I might even be able to deliver in Jackson instead of traveling down to Utah, which is a huge blessing. But even with things going so good, we are starting to take extra precautions. I talked to the doctors tonight and we are starting twice a week visits to do non stress tests and an amniotic fluid check. This is added to my already weekly visit and weekly ultrasound. Thankfully we can do everything in just 2 visits a week.
And the finally kicker... modified bed rest. Seriously, my goal starting this pregnancy was to avoid bed rest at all cost. Well I can't win them all. I like the word modified, this is how I interpreted modified with Van

What could be more peaceful than relaxing by a river in the spring time, seriously?! To bad it isn't spring time. It is snowing as I type. Don't worry, I'll figure something out :)
