Learning to Ride Bikes

The twins have been begging to have their training wheels off their bikes. Tonight Tyler finally had 20 mins to do just that. It is amazing how fast kids pick things up!
Tyler and Vivin having a little fun

Tyler wowing the boys with his mad skills

Orrin and Daddy giving it a try

It didn't take Orrin long to start trying by himself. Kid has skill.

The ONLY place Van would stay long enough to be out of the way.

The Dana's are famous for concentrating with their tongues. He has the Hansen last name but many a Dana trait.

They will be cruising on their own in no time!!

24th of July Fun

The 24th of July is one of our favorite times of the summer. Mainly because of the Thayne Little Buckaroo Rodeo. This year Vivin kicked butt on his sheep!

I was running 2 different cameras, so no good pics of Tallon on his calf, just some awesome video. But here he is showing off his battle wounds. Yes...you have to look REALLY hard.

Grandma Thelma and the twins. Orrin choose not to ride this year. Oh well.

The three boys did the ribbon chase. Orrin on the end, Tallon, Vivin and Uncle Jace.

Vivin catching up:)

If you are awesome at I Spy you will be able to pick the three boys out of this pic.

Afton was doing their crazy days and as part of it they did a fish catch. If you want total and complete chaos go to the fish catch. What a joke. But the kids love it, so we went. Vivin wasn't about to go out with that many people so he hung with Dad and Van. Orrin said the fish were coming right at him and were going to eat him, so he enjoyed the water and forgot about the fish. (he is in the orange shorts)

Tallon enjoyed trying to catch a fish, but it was more of trying not to be killed while trying to catch a fish. Some peoples children is all I'm going to say.

The someone in charge sent all the kids out at once to catch the remaining fish. Cousin Nick proved to be a fish catching fool, Tallon and Jace were in charge of getting the fish into the bag.

All in all it was a great day. Happy 24th.

Shootin' Those Y Bullets

The perinatoligists words not mine.
We had our target ultrasound yesterday and everything looks great. The anti E antibodies are staying low which is great, the babies development is right on target, and we got the big thumbs up everything is just fine!! What a relief.
We took the 4 boys with us along with Aunt Jerrie and Cousin Melanie. They all loved seeing the baby move and being able to find out what it is. Orrin loves telling everyone that he got to see the heart move and Vivin is bummed that the baby didn't get cut out of moms belly. The girls were a great help with the kids and the only bum deal of the day was that they couldn't go to the rec center and swim. Overall I would say it was a perfect day.
The game plan now is to keep up with blood draws once a month to monitor the antibodies and one more monthly check up, then twice a month which will really make things fly.
If you didn't catch it from the title: it's a BOY!!!!

Hobble Creek

Why is it that time goes so fast that we only get to do the things we REALLY want to do during the summer only once?!?!? Oh well, once is better than none.
Today we enjoyed our day up the Hobble Creek. We had the Redden boys joy us which was tons of fun, and Grandma and Granddad and the Redden girls joined us later. The water is still running really high so we didn't get our normal spot but check out our view for the day.

Nice...right?
This adorable view is pretty sweet too.

The daddy's tried to get a little fishing in...

but with 6 active boys running around, it wasn't long before they hung up their rods and played with their little ones.

Uncle Kaleb had the right idea of rolling up the pant legs for some water fun...

but soon the pants were off...

and then the shirts. Boys will be Boys.

It's all in the memories...right!?!?

When the rest of the crew came and offered some help in watching 6 little boys, the daddy's were finally able to take a few mins for themselves and get some fishing in.

The best catch of the day?

Tyler hooking himself in the back of the head. This has to be one of the funnest things EVER!!!! He comes walking through the willows and offers to help me with Van for a minute if I promise to help him...ok, help you with what? Then he breaks out in his shitty little grin and turns around. I could have died laughing.
Grandad got the honors of pulling it out.

And just because they are the cutest best friend cousins ever.

Kaleb topped off the day with running down a sage chicken and catching it so all the kids could get a good look. Sadly no pic but it was definitely a classic.
It couldn't have been a more perfect day!!

A lot a Bit of Fun

Tonight we took the 50 and the 70 over to Granddads so the boys could spend some time riding the track. Carter has been getting braver and braver and decided that tonight he was going to ride the 50 by himself. It took some help from his dad and about 20 mins and he had it down!!!
They started out slow with daddy doing the driving...
then some teaching...
then some riding...
and some running...
and more running...
and more running...
yep, just a little more running but Carter was starting to pull away...
and before we knew it he was off and doing AwEsOmE!!!!

What a fun night. The dad's sent all the boys in the house because they were freezing, everyone of them was bawling because they weren't done playing. A great way to measure the fun level of the evening.
