Tallon was an astronaut. He was so funny this year. He couldn't decided what he wanted to be. We would pick one costume, just to change our mind when we would see the next fun one. But when we spotted this costume, we knew we had found "the one".
The PTO puts on a fun event called "The Pumpkin Patch" every year at the elementary. All of the kids carve a pumpkin and get to bring it to display. Tallon has been talking about it for weeks. We had high hopes that the pumpkin from Sunday would still be good...yeah right!! So late last night Tyler and Tallon were carving another pumpkin. This time Tallon wanted a ghost. He was so excited to show all of his friends at school.
Hats off for a great dad!! Tyler has been out of town all week and got home last night about 8:00. Tallon had a certificate for a free pumpkin at the grocery store. Well, living where we do, when we went to get our free pumpkin, there was none left. So we made a few calls and finally found a pumpkin in Thayne (thanks aunt Jullie). So at 8:30 Tyler and Tallon were off to get a pumpkin, arriving back home at 9:30, and the finished product arrived around 10:00. After a long week apart it was fun to have just a few hours together.
We had a fun day full of parties and trick or treating. Tallon loves to go door to door trick or treating. It is one of the great things about living in a little neighborhood, you know and trust all those around you and it adds something fun to a holiday like Halloween!!
