Better

Well after a long day filled with Doctor visits, Tyler and I both feel a bit better. We started off with a level 2 ultrasound at St. Johns in Jackson. The perinologist is confident with the staff in Jackson, so he is letting us do a lot of our visits there instead of having to go down to the U. It is always great to see your baby and hear a healthy heartbeat. They are mostly looking at all the internal organs and if there is any fluid building up around them, and the cerebral artery (the main blood flow through the brain). The tech was wonderful and very comforting with everything she was doing and took a lot of extra time and let us see our little man. The perinologist read the ultrasound and told us that right now we are in the "low risk" area for anemia and that we should repeat the ultrasound in 7 days. Great News!

Our next stop was with the diabetes support and I will have to admit that it was okay. I had to give myself a practice shot before we could leave and I was able to do it without shaking, throwing up, or passing out. Tyler was great support and only teased a little. I get to do shots twice a day, once before breakfast and again before dinner.

We finally got to visit with Dr. Roberts at the end of the day and really get the low down of what is going on. Her report was a lot easier to handle than google's. I love that she is optimistic but still realistic. She also did an ultrasound to measure baby and see how he is developing on the diabetes side of things. She measured him to be around 3lbs 6oz. She was so pleased with all our numbers and especially my blood pressure. The fact that we are 32 weeks is awesome for development and she was very reassuring with everything.

Right now we are doing a weekly ultrasound to monitor the organs and blood flow in the brain. We will change our plans depending on the results.

Thank you for all the thoughts and prayers, they have been felt and I know that things will go according to the plan that our Father in Heaven has for us. We are full of hope that His plan includes delivering a healthy baby at a facility that can care for him and his needs and that all will end in happiness.

Not one of those fuzzy feel good posts

To start- I flunked the 28 week glucose test. I got to do the fun 3 hour one and flunked that one too. Gestational Diabetes. I got to meet with the diabetes specialist and got set up with a blood monitor and all that fun stuff. I have religiously done a restricted carb diet for the past week and a half and I have flunked that too. I get to meet with the diabetes specialist again this week, this time she will teach me how to give myself insulin shots. Sounds like fun.

To top it all off- remember when I mentioned having anti E antibodies. I googled it and cried for 2 days. I have done blood draws to monitor it once a month. They have all came back 1-8. That's good. I got to the point where I had forgotten all about the antibodies except for the 5th of the month when I knew I need to do my draws. Today I talked to the doctors office, they had my blood results. 1-256. NOT.GOOD. Really not good. I am waiting to hear from the University of Utah. I will set up an appointment to meet once again with Dr. Varner, the perintoloigst. If you want some really depressing reading google, hemolytic anemia of the newborn. I have cried and taken Tylenol. Now I am going to go lay down and try to rest.

When you get fat and have a baby in your belly, are you going to get a new car?

The twins ask EVERYONE this question. The two people they know having babies have got new cars, smart little devils for putting 2 and 2 together. If they have asked you this, please don't take offense, they think everyone is pregnant and will ask to feel your baby kick anywhere anytime. Their 4 so it's cute right?!
Tyler and I went back and forth quite a bit on getting a different car. 5 kids do fit it a mini Van, but poor Tallon was so squished between the twins in the back that we felt pretty strongly about doing something different. So we have went from driving this...

to this.

I can't even begin to tell you how much we LoVe it. The room, oh the room, is amazing.
And some cute pictures of the boys with their "baby bumps"

They are soooo excited about having another baby. Vivin wants everyone to feel his baby kick like his mom's baby. Today they even tried giving Van away to Grandma Dana because we will have 2 more babies, one in mommy's tummy and one in Vivin's. They changed their mind when Grandma went to leave with Van, and decided that we could have 3 babies. Man I hope their not being prophetic.

It needs to be done

...nobody said it but I am pretty sure everyone was thinking it.
Van's hair is LOVELY. Simply lovely. Long, blonde, and perfect. But it is always in his face and dirty. Tallon and Tyler have been hinting towards a cut for a while now and I told them both that when the baby got here I would cut it. Well after a breakfast of simple cold cereal that resulted in nasty hair, I finally gave in.
The before....

and the after

Crazy what a stinkin hair cut can do! He is 16 months so really it was time but now I have a little man and no baby.

Is it like when your drunk?

Coming out of Murphy Tallon asked why certain people act like they do. Tyler was explaining that it is because some people are pregnant. He continues with a talk on hormones and all the fun stuff women get to deal with. Tallon is shaking his head like he totally understands and then says "So,... is it like when your drunk?". Yep.

Tallon was invited to go to Lava Hot Springs with Brixton. Excited would not explain these two. Wow, what a pair. They got all they way there just to find in closed!!!! Brook said they were pretty bummed, but made the most of it. They found some fun things to do and even stopped and got some awesome pics by one of our favorite signs!

Thanks for the great pics Brook. They plan on going back on Saturday, hopefully it works out better for them.

"Hey Viv, you see that pretty girl, I'm going to dance with her when we get married."

Orrin was looking at pictures with me the other day and saw a cute little girl on the computer. He ran and grabbed Vivin to show him and told him this. Too Cute.

Remember when they had the most adorable tan lines?

Well... I think I like this years even more!!

Moving!!!!

Wow, I guess since most everyone knows, it is time to document our upcoming adventure on the blog.
Tyler received his acceptance letter to the Colorado School of Trades in June. He will be doing their Gunsmithing program. He is so excited. He starts class on January 9 2012. It is a 14 month course. Did I mention that he is really REALLY excited?!
We will be moving to Lakewood Colorado just after Christmas. The babe will be around 3 weeks, which should prove to be interesting. Tallon is almost as excited as Tyler and the twins are stoked that they are going to gunsmithing preschool instead of their preschool, should be fun the first day when they find out they are hanging with mom and the babies.
We are planning on coming "home", depending on when Tyler graduates and the boys' school schedule, we will be gone anywhere from 14 to 18 months.
So there you have it. When life changes around here it really changes!
Know anyone awesome who YOU would trust to rent a house?? Let us know

I would be okay with having a girl...if she was like Camryn

Tallon told me this after spending the day with his Cam Cam. I would have to agree with him.

Tyler and Dad have been planning a floating trip for 2 summers now. The stars must have aligned just right because it finally happened!! Vivin floated the first stretch of river with them.Right before it was time to switch kids around Dad caught a good little trout. Viv was so excited.Tallon and Jace got to float for the rest of the day. Jace was a bit worried, but Tyler said he settled right in and had a great time. No fish for this crew. I think there was a little to much enjoying and not a lot of fishing. Tyler may have crippled Dad, but Dad said it was worth it. He really enjoyed spending the day worry free and hanging with some of his boys.

These make my nose breath smell good

Orrin had been begging for a breath mint. I finally gave in and just about died laughing when he said this.

Tallon was invited to participate in this years Relay for Life, as part of his taekwondo group. They put on a great show for all the walkers and then raised money by breaking 200 boards in 2 hours. They kids did awesome and were soooo tired after breaking that many boards.
Tallon's awesome, adorable and faithful fan club. Love them.
Tallon doing part of his form
His favorite thing to do right now is breaking boards with his jumping side kick.
He can jump two classmates right now, look at that air!!
...but soon he will be as awesome as his XMA instructor, Mr.Galloway. Can you see why the kids LOVE Mr. Galloway. How cool is he?! (Tallon is in the middle of all the bodies)
Walkers Black Belt Academy. A great way to teach your kids to kick others kids butts. Just Kidding, but really it is a ton of fun to watch Tallon each time he gets a chance to show off his skills.
How we love Relay for Life. If you have never done one, DO IT!! You will never be the same.

When I get big and have a baby in my belly, can I do that?

This is Vivins question to anything that he is told he is to little to do.

Tallon decided that he wanted to try his hand at hog wrestling this year. He asked Ryder, Brixton, and Jace to be on his team. They chose the name "Team Pork Chops" and went to work making shirts.

Tallon chose #1 and called himself Mean Chop
Cousin Melanie and Aunt Jerrie came up and helped make their shirts extra cool.
And here they are: Jace, Ryder, Brixton, and Tallon aka Team Pork Chops

Jace aka Wee Chop, Ryder aka Thick Chop, Brixton aka Lean Chop, and Tallon aka Mean Chop
The night of the event the boys got a little nervous but they had a game plan: catch the pig and put it in the bucket. Sounds simple enough.

The pit is a slimy mess!! They did really good staying on their feet and found that is was going to be a bit harder than they thought.
After some chasing, they finally got the thing cornered and the rest was history

Done!!! In 53 seconds no less.
They were so excited walking back behind the arena.
They fared really well compared to some of the others teams in the area of getting dirty. We got them all striped off and cleaned up and waited to hear how they had done.
2nd Place!!! We were all so excited. They bounced all night on a hog wrestling high. The $120 purse that they won might have helped.

Learning to Ride Bikes

The twins have been begging to have their training wheels off their bikes. Tonight Tyler finally had 20 mins to do just that. It is amazing how fast kids pick things up!
Tyler and Vivin having a little fun

Tyler wowing the boys with his mad skills

Orrin and Daddy giving it a try

It didn't take Orrin long to start trying by himself. Kid has skill.

The ONLY place Van would stay long enough to be out of the way.

The Dana's are famous for concentrating with their tongues. He has the Hansen last name but many a Dana trait.

They will be cruising on their own in no time!!
