Conny!!

This is what Van calls Conn. You will hear him runing through the house yelling Conny Conny Conny. It is adorable.
Our dear and very sweet neighbor, Bobbie, has been telling me about the baby owls down on the greenbelt. This afternoon the boys and I went to see if we could find them and we were so happy that we did!
You have to look close but there are three of them there. Two of the babies and mama.
Two of the babies
The owls live right by the bike track so the boys were in heaven

This is the creek bottom at the bottom of the green belt. It is about 5 min walk from the house
Is he not the cutest!!!
No pics of Viv's crash just the marks
Viv loves this picture because both tires are off the ground

Ouch!!!
Thinking he is dead

They are growing up so fast. Look how cool they are

We had a great afternoon. Tyler really did good when he picked a spot for us. All of that is just a minutes walk from our front door!!

A few more

Family pics are always so much fun. Van wouldn't look, Vivin wouldn't stop crying, Tallon was doing weird things with his hands, Orrin was being a clown, Conn isn't old enough to know better, Tyler never smiles, and I go crazy. Sounds like fun, huh.
Still we got one that will work.
Love this one of my boys. How lucky am I?!??!

All the fun of a fart without the stink

This is a Tyler saying, I will let you use your imagination as to what he is taking about, one hint it has to do with the record setting on his phone.
Speaking of fun we did pics of the boys.
Brace yourselves they have changed!
Here is little Conn at 5 months
Sweet Baby Van (i am going to have to stop calling him that one day) @ 23 months
Vivin @ 5 years
Orrin @ 5 years
Tallon @ 9.5 (he is already thinking he can't smile for a picture)
Couldn't you just die!! They are all so adorable!!

He even has the speakers fooled!!

It is no secret that Sweet Baby Van is adorable. He wills all hearts that come in contact with him. I often joke that he could walk into a bank, bat his eyes, and they would just hand over their money.
The mystery is HOW DOES HE DO IT!!! He is a pill. Plain and simple. He is a pill!!! He knows he is cute that has to be it. Today in sacrament meeting he had entertained everyone enough and Tyler got up to take him out. No kidding the speaker stops his talk and says "Wow, that is a cute kid!! His cry has the sound of heaven in it." Kid you not. Everyone laughs and turns to watch as Tyler hauls cute Van out of the chapel. Even the Bishop poked his head around the pulpit and gave a smile. I could have died. How does he do it!
In all honesty, it is a good thing he is cute or he would probably be hanging by his heels most of the time.

My Gunsmith

Tyler's parents were here for the weekend. It was wonderful. We relaxed, kissed babies, and enjoyed 70 degree weather. The boys loved having them here, we all did. Before they left town they stopped by the school to see what Tyler does everyday. He was excited to show them and we hope they liked it.

Tyler looks great as a gunsmith! He is loving school and doing so good. Tallon got to go home for spring break with Grandma and Granddad. He is way excited to see everyone and be in the Valley again. If you see him give him a hug!!

To Get a Cellphone

Dear mom and dad,
I really want a cellphone and here are some reasons I could use it for. First,I could use it to call Matt or Amy if they were late taking me to school. Second, I could call you for an emergency. Third,I could call 911 if our house got robbed(and other houses),for a fire,or if somebody got hurt really bad. That is why I want a cellphone and why I should have a cellphone.
Sincerely your best cellphone son,
Tallon!
(Tallon has been working on us for some time now to get him a cell phone. If his letter persuaded you, let us know by leaving a comment. If he gets enough yeas he just might luck out and convince us to let him get one)

4 Months

Well our little man is 4 months old today. I can't believe it. He is such an amazing part of our family. The boys still adore him and love when he smiles at them. He is starting to reach and play with toys. He is content to be with his brothers playing on the floor, just watching. He rolled from his tummy to his back this morning at the doctors office, which makes him a big baby now. He took his first bottle of formula last night with Tyler. I am still nursing, just doing a bit of supplementing for some quality Daddy time. He weighed in at 12lbs 3oz and is 24.5 inches long. The doctor said he looked wonderful and was so amazed at how adorable he is. He is a little stink at night. He slept through the night for about a week and a half and then got a head cold. He has sense refused to sleep and it is becoming quite the ordeal. Do I let him cry or continue to get up at least 8 times a night just to give him his binki? Who knows. We all love Conn so much. He has fit into our family so nicely and I can't imagine my life without him. He has all of us wrapped around his finger. Oh, how we love him so.
(sorry no pics. we had to get a new computer and all pic are on the old one. i will put some on soon)

Work!! We have work!

After 3 months of no work, Tyler went to work today!! He has been hired on at a landscape supply company, down south in Englewood. He is going to work Friday, Saturday and Sundays. He will be home at nights and we are so excited. This was the last little bit that we needed to fall into place. We are all doing so good and are loving the weather. The neighbors are loving watching the boys play in the swimming pool. We got their bikes from Aunt Jessie and wow are they excited. I am so thankful that the neighbors have adopted the boys so well. They have everyone wrapped around their fingers. It is nice to know that they are cute to someone other than just me.

Can I get a WhootWhoot!!

Okay, so I am going to give myself a big old pat on the back. I started taking college courses in January. I was nervous about adding one more thing to my schedule and really nervous about having to think again. I do one class every 5 weeks and in about 18-24 months I will graduate with a bachelors degree in Educational Studies. I finished my first class on the 28th of February and received my final grade tonight. I got a 97.17% !!!!! I was shocked. I scored 15/15 on my final paper. Do you know how long it has been since I wrote a paper? A long long long time. I even woke Tyler up to share my good news. I will totally brag and share from the TA
Jaymie,

Thank you for sharing. Your paper was one of the best in this class. It was a pleasure to read. Thank you so much. My best to you as you continue!

Amanda

But with every "way to go" there must be some humble pie. I took a practice quiz for my second class... I got a 55%. Ouch!! I guess I have some work to do. I'm not going to go into detail on the test because when I explained it to Tyler he died laughing. Let's just say it has a lot to do with grammar and punctuation. Only my Dad, Tyler, and my spell/grammar check know how not fun and humbling this next course is going to be.

It feels sooooooo good to be in the mountains

We ventured out today to do a little exploring and found ourselves in the mountains. Tallon heaved a sigh of relief and expressed his missing of mountains. It was nice to be "out" again and have all the boys run crazy and not have to worry about the neighbors! We shot a bit and had a great lunch, where a very nice man told Ty and I that we had wonderful kids that were very well behaved!! Love him. ...Of course I forgot the camera, I know can you believe it. You will just have to imagine all of us with our smiles. Oh, and the fact that it was 50+ degrees out made the day almost perfect. Not that I am bragging... just saying.

Man, we have a nice ward

Tyler nailed it as we walked out of the pine wood derby, we do have a nice ward.
Tallon and Tyler have been working had the past few weeks getting Tallon's derby car ready. They painted...

and put everything together, until it was just right.

The stake went all out with this awesome track! It was set up with a electronic finish line! There was no guessing who won. They had a projector set up so the boys could all see how fast they went and where they placed. The scouts did an awesome job with sportsmanship, making it a perfect day.

Tallon's car worked great this year. He has it fixed up with bullets and because of his design he was award the Cubmaster's pick award.
The bear den in the Lakewood stake. Yep, you read that right, the STAKE. It keeps it nice and personal this way.
Tallon placed 4th overall and 1st in the bears. He was way excited.
The bullets are a bit off because of a little accident at the race. All the boys (and dads) handled it really well. 4 cars were left at the bottom of the track and they sent the next 4 down. It made everyone sick watching the cars crash into each other. Tallon's car took the worst of it. They had a hot glue gun ready and within a few mins he was back out on the track racing.

Great job Buddy!!
