We set off this morning to find Christmas trees. We went here and then we went there and finally we found a spot that looked just right.

We are one of those families whose Christmas tree lives in the basement most of the year. We take the kids each year to help get trees for Grandma and their aunts (because trees really are only for the women of the house). Then we come home and set up our tree. Weird... but it works for us.
Vivin and Orrin
the "magic spot" where all the ornaments wanted to be
Tyler always sets the tree up for me and puts the lights on. Then I decorate. This year the boys were old enough to do it themselves and they have enough ornaments of their own, so this year they decorated. I loved how it turned out. The boys loved how it turned out. Now I just have to get my OCD under control and not change a thing. We'll see how it works.
